Blog Post #2

Early in the movie Cornel West quotes Plato by saying "An unexamined life is not worth living." That is implying is saying to ignore examination is basically like sleep walking through it, basically like looking at the greatest book in the world but never reading the words. It is saying that in order to fully live your life you need to think about the deeper meaning of it. That would obviously be the most intelligent way to go through life but often the hardest, yet sometimes ignorance is bliss.

Living an examined life means you go through life finding the deeper meaning and thinking about it more than just any average person would. But when people do they share their thoughts with us hence this movie being made, and although it may be boring to watch, as it was it actually made me start thinking about things in a deeper meaning.
