Blog Post #3

Stranger than fiction could just look like any normal movie but the deeper meaning behind it is pretty obvious. What it is saying is that life sometimes is in fact stranger than fiction, and the truth can often be unknown. For an example nobody knows how the earth was created, no one knows how far our galaxy goes, and no one knows how mankind started. That is what i think is the deeper meaning behind Stranger than Fiction.

Stranger than fiction has a ton of metaphors and some of them are visual metaphors. The biggest one is the window looking into Ana's bakery window. There are several scenes where he is placed by it. When he looks into it and sees her giving food to the homeless man he sees the beauty of life and he wishes he could have a fun life. When he is placed looking away from it its meant to show ignorance saying that he is reluctant to change, yet at the very end when he has changed and opened up it shows them both inside the window together.
